While I was in Neervely I studied there…… I still remember all the good times. I still remember the love stories from this place….

  2. There were actually six classes, four in each corner of the veranda inside and two were in the dark rooms at the front of the house. All the teachers, class mates, and of course the regular lashes (at times undeserved) are still fondly remembered! Kunchannai taught Science(perhaps taught Maths later), Deva Iya(kurukkal at pillayar kovil)taught us Tamil, there was a teacher for Accounts & Commerce but I cannot remeber her name. Mr Eswaramoorthy’s english clsses were lot of fun because we hardly understood anything, not that his teaching was bad but we simply refused to learn English! Despite all that, he worked so hard at every lesson, never gave up on us. A teacher’s greates assets are patience, compassion and determination – he had it all. Sir, if you are reading this post, many thanks for all your help.

I emphasized here That building give us the unforgettable records on the mind. I had studied there Grade – 7 to 8 that time it was functioned by Sivaraja annai then continued by Thiruselvam after resettlement in 1996.Mr.Thiruselvam conducted this tution from 1996 to 1997.then this tution’s furniture were taken by Sathees (Idaikadu) changed the place.

It was the time, students of the Neervely South and center studied together and participated in the Neervely Kandasamy murukan temple’s festival.

Karunakaran sir,Kalaiselvi Akka,Iddaikadu english sir,Jeyarani akka all those people who have studied well. Jamini Akka was a clerk. That time people were very closed to nature and traditional life.Government officers monthly salary was five thousand rupees.
Every sites of wall give us the memories of incredible life in the period of time.

This tution was like a tree which gave us shadows that never forgettable.
Three decade civil war has destroyed every things, fragmented our village collective feeling and sense of belongs. We never imagine that life will come again.

  6. I still remember the old good memories studying there. I met Sivaraja Annai when I visited last time to SL, we used to call him Annai. Studying there was like family and friends reunion. I wish I could go back to those days with all my friends

  7. I studied in Pearl institute from 1986 to 1991 and still remember the Golden memories.
The most wonderful time of the year, Sivarajah Annai,to tell you that you are an amazing teacher. Thank you for all the hard work you have put in to make our lessons interesting and fun especially during the IPKF time!!!

    Kind regards
    Dr Pratheeb
